Held following the 2008 Fun Show
August 16, 2008 at Red Ridge Ranch, Mauston, WI

A clinic on equine health and first aid for children and grandchildren of  WDMS club members. Twelve (12) kids participated in the first aid clinic along with many adult member helpers and auditors. The clinic presenter was Cherette Brown, a veterinary technician with the Adams-Marquette Veterinary Clinic in Oxford, WI. Cherette went over the contents of an equine first aid kit with the kids and demonstrated how to use the items. They were also instructed that home first aid kits are not meant to replace veterinary care but to help your equine in an emergency until they can be seen by a veterinarian. At the end of the clinic the kids received their own first aid kits.
